Frank's been successfully swimming in the realm of creativity for nearly 20 years. He studied art, graphic design and photography in New Jersey before getting hooked up with CTS, a company that develops internet aviation training using computer graphics and illustration as a study medium for its online courses. He later had an opportunity to start his own commercial photography studio, netting in clients such as Capezio and Kraft Foods, Inc. Today, in Wichita, Frank has taken his own experiences from the past and combined them with an equally skilled, yet diversely talented team of inventive minds to create Squid Ink. Frank's problem solving nature makes him perfect for what he does. He listens in depth to his client's needs and makes certain his team delivers.

So what's on this Giant Squids plate when he's not lurking around the studio, approving uniquely inspired designs and ordering up innovative creative solutions? Well, he's usually got one hand on a camera, another strumming his guitar, another maneuvering sushi filled chopsticks into his mouth and yet another swinging a golf club. Wait a minute...how many hands is that? Maybe Frank really is part squid after all!

As the lead Squid, Derek brings diversity to the table with 16 years of experience serving up everything from in-the-trench production work to superior staff management. He is well cultivated in all areas of illustration and design, multimedia, project man- agement and customer relations. This creative guru will handle your project from start to finish, establishing a single point of contact to ensure your ideas and feedback are delivered undiluted to the Squid Cave where they will be implemented by a highly talented School of Squids.

Sounds like a tough Squid, you say? Let's add a little sauce. Derek has lighter things on his plate too. He's a lover of the outdoors, with hobbies like hunting, fishing and golf. He likes to keep healthy and spend time with his lovely wife and child.

She also has a love for music, live theatre, blockbuster action flicks and of course her fiancé, Kirk!

When it comes to problem solving and design, Mark is no fish out of water. He's usually up to one eyeball in some kind of technological challenge. But with 20 plus years of creative and technical expertise, Mark will plummet into unchartered waters and come up with solutions that impress. His knack for understanding the needs of the client and then translating those needs to an end product that exceeds expectations is one of several attributes that make Mark a valued part of the Squid Team. With a techno mind, designer dexterity, photographer's eye, musician's passion, quick wit and "go with the flow" attitude, we think Mark is quite a catch.

On land, you might find Mark with GPS in hand, Geocaching for hidden treasure. Or maybe he's immersed in the World of Warcraft, defending the extraordinary lands of Azeroth with his swift hand and virtuous healing powers. When he finally comes back to reality, you might catch him with his band, Big Shade, jamming away at a local watering hole right around town. And be sure to bring your dancing shoes because this Squid rocks!

Meet Dallas, the newest addition to our Creative Calamari Team. Dallas is fresh out of water (or college as they call it in these parts) and he's eager to tackle any design idea, big or small. With his recent degree and up-to-the-minute knowledge of the latest market trends, Dallas has the ability to hook any consumer in with his unique take on design. His dedication to each and every project that crosses his desktop is a quality we recognized in him immediately and you will too when you feast your eyes on the work he puts out. Like the rest of the Squid Team, he won't stop until each client is 100% satisfied.

At the end of the work day you can probably find Dallas bouncing a soccer ball off the toe of his Pumas for fun. He likes photography and anything even remotely related to the Wonderful World of Design. An avid Pixar short film fan, Dallas deems the character "Presto" King of the Pixar dudes, but when it comes to deeming Princesses, his wife takes the crown, hands down!
